Below you will find instructions for downloading and activating etrace on the
phones that you have purchased for your mobile workforce. Before you begin, please make sure that you
know the phone number for each handset you will be activating.

- Highlight and tap on "Settings" from the main menu.
- Scroll down to Location & Security and tap on it.
- On the Use GPS Satellites and tap on it.
- Now Location On is set on your Android Device.
- Tap on the magnifying glass button to open your internet browswer on your Android phone.
- Type in http://support.etrace.com/deploy/etrace/CellularSouth/Android/download.htm in the URL section of your browser and press Go or Enter on the keyboard. (You can also copy and paste these instructions into and email and send them to yourself. Then open the email with your phone and click on the link in the email.)
- Now, tap on the Install Xora TimeTrack, link.
- Now, highlight Xora under Download history and select.
- On the next screen, tap on Install.
- The installation process will start.
- Now press Open to start the application on your phone.
- Device will activate using phone number of the device. Device will automatically login to the mobile worker for that device.
- The Warning screen apprears on your phone. Tap on I Agree.
- Now you will get the message Performing Server Sync on your phone screen.
- The next screen appears displaying the list of the New Updates (if any), such as New Forms, New Jobs, etc. Tap on OK.
- Finally, the applications main screen appears on your Android phone.
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Menu button
- Use the left and right arrow keys to locate the Settings and Tools menu
- Scroll to Phone Settings and click OK
- Scroll to Location and click OK
- Select Location On and click OK
- Scroll to Security and click OK
- Enter the phone's security code and click OK (Usually the last 4 digits of the phone number)
- Scroll to Restrictions and click OK
- Enter the phone's security code again and click OK
- Scroll to Location Setting and click OK
- Select Lock Setting and click OK
- Press the End key to return to the phone’s main menu
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Menu button
- Use the left and right arrow keys on your handset to locate the BREW icon and click ok, Scroll toBREW Apps and click ok
- Scroll to Browse Catalog, click OK,
and wait while the phone connects to the Cellular South network
- Select Location Services or LBS and
and click OK
- Scroll to etrace and click OK
- Scroll to Download and click OK.
Wait while the phone downloads the application
- The phone will prompt you to run the application. Scroll to Yes and click OK
- Enter the phone’s phone number and click OK
- Locate the phone’s phone number from the list below and enter the corresponding PIN. Click OK
- Click Accept when the usage agreement is displayed
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Menu button
- Use the left and right arrow keys to locate the Settings and Tools menu
- Scroll to Phone Settings and click OK
- Scroll to Location and click OK
- Select Location On and click OK
- Scroll to Security and click OK
- Enter the phone's security code and click OK (Usually the last 4 digits of the phone number)
- Scroll to Restrictions and click OK
- Enter the phone's security code again and click OK
- Scroll to Location Setting and click OK
- Select Lock Setting and click OK
- Press the End key to return to the phone’s main menu
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Menu button
- Use the left and right arrow keys on your handset to locate the BREW icon and click ok, Scroll toBREW Apps and click ok
- Scroll to Browse Catalog, click OK,
and wait while the phone connects to the Cellular South network
- Select Location Services or LBS and
and click OK
- Scroll to etrace and click OK
- Scroll to Download and click OK.
Wait while the phone downloads the application

- From the phone's main menu, click on the Menu button
- Use the left and right arrow keys on your handset to locate the BREW icon and click ok, Scroll toBREW Apps and click ok
- Scroll to Browse Catalog, click OK,
and wait while the phone connects to the Cellular South network
- Select Location Services or LBS and
and click OK
- Scroll to etrace and click OK
- Scroll to Download and click OK.
Wait while the phone downloads the application
- The phone will prompt you to run the application. Scroll to Yes and click OK
- Enter the phone's phone number and click OK
- Locate the phone's phone number from the list below and enter the corresponding PIN. Click OK
- Click Accept when the usage agreement is displayed
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Options menu item
- Select the About menu
- Locate the version information on the third line down. It should read Software Version: 4.5.0.169 (281) Platform: 3.4.0.51
- If the version number does not match, you need to upgrade the phone's software
before you can setup etrace on this phone.
If firmware version is the same as the above or higher then press the End key to return to the
phone’s main menu and continue the setup process.
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Options menu item
- Select the Advanced Options menu item
- Select the GPS menu item
- Select the GPS Services and set to Location On
- Press the Back button and select Save to the change made
- Press the Back button key to return to the phone’s main menu
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Browser menu item
- Open http://support.etrace.com/deploy/etrace/CellularSouth/8330/download.htm in your mobile Browser
- Select Install etrace and press in the trackball
- Check the box for Set Application Permissions,and select the Download button
- Select View to set permissions for etrace
- Set the permissions for All Connections to Allow, and Save changes
- The application will now download, when complete you will be prompted to Run
- The application will activate automatically using your devices phone number
- Select Accept when the warning is displayed
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Options menu item
- Select the Advanced Options menu item
- Select the GPS menu item
- Select the GPS Services and set to Location On
- Press the Back button and select Save to the change made
- Press the Back button key to return to the phone’s main menu
- From the phone’s main menu, click on the Browser menu item
